Small Camp

Rum Planet Camp is unlike any other camp in the desert of Wadi Rum. With the continued popularity of Wadi Rum, it can sometimes feel like the desert camp experience is becoming more like a large-scale tourist operation. For us, running Rum Planet Camp is our passion. We are a small, traditional camp, which means you can both have your space for quiet alone time and an opportunity to connect with us and with other travelers. You won’t see big groups, noisy parties, or crowded spaces here.

Bedouin Culture

We love getting to know our guests and sharing a little bit of our lives and culture with you. When you stay at Rum Planet Camp, you’ll get a first-hand glimpse into the desert way of life. We are happy to arrange any number of different activities for you that will bring you closer to understanding our culture (such as drinking camel milk for breakfast with our renowned camel master and friend, Abu Ragheb, or visiting a local Bedouin family for lunch) or simply having a deep conversation with you over dinner about what life in Wadi Rum is all about.
